FORMER BAD COMPANY GUITARIST TRACY LEE AUSTIN JOINS PETE TAMBURIN’S RYE ROAD

Tracy Lee Austin, Bradenton, FL native and resident and former guitar player for Bad Company featuring Brian Howe, recently joined up-and-coming Bradenton/Sarasota based new country/rock band Pete Tamburin’s Rye Road. Austin brings his hard rock sensibilities to complement the powerful country/rock vocals and guitar playing of Pete Tamburin to bring a unique yet accessible sound to Pete Tamburin’s Rye Road.

Austin, who has played with a number of other national and local bands over his storied 30 year career, is known for his creative, understated solos that have been impressing audiences since he started touring internationally at 17. When asked why he chose to play with Pete Tamburin’s Rye Road over a number of other local opportunities, Austin explains, “The first time I heard Pete’s voice, I got chills and the hair on the back of my neck stood on end. Here’s this young guy who has an incredible tone and emotion to his voice and that just blew me away.”

Tracy and Pete Tamburin’s on-stage chemistry clicked almost immediately and that has helped propel Rye Road to a number of high profile shows, mostly notably as the house band at both the popular club, The Beach Club, on Siesta Key, where the band plays a standing Thursday night show, and Joyland in Bradenton, the nationally known country music club where some of the biggest names in country music have played, where they play every other Friday and Saturday night. They will also be headlining the Fifth Annual Cowboy Hoedown at Robards Arena in Sarasota on September 24.  Here's a link for tickets - http://www.sc4hfd.org/uploads/2011_small_flyer_-_JG_Printing.pdf.

The band is currently writing and rehearsing new original material in preparation for their initial release on Reckless Grace Records. Jack Tamburin, Pete’s older brother and the former guitarist, vocalist and songwriter for national country act One Night Rodeo, is contributing a number of new songs to the upcoming CD. The CD will be recorded at Top Secret Studios (formerly Telstar Studios) in Sarasota and will be produced by Jack and Pete Tamburin and veteran producer, Bruce Ferber (The Motels, The Fools, Rich Sawyer, Kenny Rogers, Cheryl Ladd, Gary U.S. Bonds).
